Localization FAQ

If you have any question about ComuityServer localization we suggest you have a look at these resources that should answer almost every of your questions

• CommunityServer 2008.5 wiki pages filed under language tag. You will find there answers and suggestions on general questions like how to add language packs, customize emails, resource files, etc.
• Upupo-Soft wiki pages filed under localization tag. Here you will find answers on how to localize TineMCE editor, identify and localize hard-coded strings, and topics about Russian localization pack for CS.
• If you decided to build your own language pack have a look at the existing language ones. Some of them were built for older CS versions but this may be a good start to build the most recent version and also eventually you may want to publish your version there.
• Should you want to edit resources in order to build a new language pack or fine-tune existing one you will likely want to use some tool better than notepad.exe. CS Localization Ultra will most likely fit all your needs.
